Carolyn Holt Phillips, 88, of Hot Springs, Ark., died Sept. 8, 2017, in Hot Springs. She was the widow of Randolph Holt and Dave Phillips and a Baptist.

Lowell Russell Jr., 74, of Ashland, died Sept. 4, 2017, at Ashland Health and Rehab. An Air Force veteran, he was a Baptist and a general maintenance worker.
Lynda Renea Elam Sweeney, 30, of Byhalia, died Sept. 1, 2017, in an auto accident at Hwy. 309 and Hwy. 302 in Byhalia. She was employed with McDonald’s in Olive Branch.
Willie Fred Thompson, 77, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 6, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Rev. Adam Vance Vinson, 87, of Olive Branch, died Sept. 6, 2017.
