Big first birthday wishes to Sylvie Nowell! Sylvie celebrated turning one over the weekend with a home full of her family and friends. The party theme was “tennis” and had beautiful floral arrangements with both pink and yellow tennis balls in the vases. There was a ball cage, court layout and tennis rackets galore! Both her paternal and maternal great~grandmothers (Sylvia Fant, her namesake, and Lola Dickerson, respectfully) played tennis, as well as her maternal grandmother, Dianene Fant, and mama, Lauralee Nowell. Party attendees enjoyed a fun bouncy house, a variety of amazing party fare and of course cake and ice cream! Sylvie is the daughter of Lauralee and Taylor Nowell and the granddaughter of Dianene and David Fant.

Friday, July 17, Manny Burch hit his first hole in one at Kirkwood on hole number 15! Witnesses to this remarkable feat were Pat Ellis Stubbs, Charlie Farris, John Stuber, man of the moment Manny and Steve Elgin.
