Lowell Russell Jr., 74, of Ashland, died Sept. 4, 2017, at Ashland Health and Rehab. An Air Force veteran, he was a Baptist and a general maintenance worker.
Services were held at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Sept. 6, with burial in the church cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four sons, Scott Russell (Amanda) of Ashland, Jeff Wright (Janet) of Jackson, Tenn., Eric Wright (Sharon) of Hickory Flat, Mark Wright of Lexington, Tenn.; a daughter, Stacy Fortner (Robert) of Ashland; a sister, Jimmie Frances Stevens of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
