Rev. Adam Vance Vinson

Rev. Adam Vance Vinson, 87, of Olive Branch, died Sept. 6, 2017. The widower of Iona Gordon Vinson, he served as pastor of several churches, including Clear Creek Baptist Church in Lamar, 45 Baptist Church in Moscow, Tenn., and Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Denmark. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean war as a combat engineer.

Services were held at 12 noon on Sept. 9, at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

He leaves a son, Larry Vinson (Leslie); a daughter, Dianne Vinson; two sisters, Lillian Bishop of Sycamore, Ill., Emma Vance of Etta; a brother, Quinton Vinson of Etta; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven siblings, and a daughter, Annette Vinson Allen.
