Mississippi State College and Mississippi Southern College first played one another in football in 1935. Southern, as it was called then, hosted.
Head coach Barrett Donahoe asked his team after the game Friday night, “How many of you believe you can be better?” All the Marshall Academy Patriots raised their hands.
It took Byhalia a little while to get things in gear Friday night but the end result was convincing.
It was so shocking because it happens so seldom: An NFL superstar retiring at the top of his game.
