Basketball tipping off

It’s November, which means basketball season has arrived.
Games begin Thursday night of this week. Potts Camp visits Pine Grove, and the Marshall Academy girls go to Marvell Academy (Ark.).
This Saturday, Nov. 4, both Holly Springs and Byhalia play in the Olive Branch Classic. The Lady Hawks face Shannon at 5:30 p.m. and the Hawks play the host Conquistadors at 7 p.m. The Lady Indians and Indians will both play Coahoma County, the girls going first at 2:30 p.m. and then the boys at 4 p.m.
Next Tuesday,  Nov. 7, Potts Camp teams host Hernando.

Hunter Ed Nov. 6-8 at Potts Camp

A Hunter Education Class will be held November 6-8 from 6 p.m to 9:30 p.m. at Potts Camp High School.
Participants must be at least 10 years of age, and they must attend all three nights. Register online at mdwfp.com.
All persons born after January 1, 1972, are required to complete a Hunter Education Class before purchasing a Mississippi hunting license.

Holly High teams to play at Landers Center Nov. 10

On Friday, Nov. 10, the Holly Springs High School Lady Hawks and Hawks will play Lake Cormorant at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively, in the Landers Center at Southaven. That night, at 7, the Memphis Hustle will face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The Hustle is a new NBA G League team and affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Tickets can be purchased at Holly Springs High School.
