Double T Construction and Thomas Monuments recently teamed up to put the obelisk of the Mississippi Press Association monument back in place. It toppled over during a storm several years ago. Pictured are Chesley Hurdle, Austin Ramer, Allen Lewis, Trey Thomas, Chuck Thomas (operating the machinery) and Janna Stanton (standing, at right). The restoration was funded by the City of HollySprings. The MPA monument, in Hill Crest Cemetery, is dedicated to newspaper editors who died in the Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1878.
