Byhalia United Methodist Church is hosting an around-the-clock prayer room for those who would participate in a continuous prayer chain from March 1 through Easter.

Byhalia police go to 24 calls

The Byhalia Police Department responded to 24 calls during the past week.

Chief Gary Looney released the following report – miscellaneous, 13; animals, 1; fires, 2; medical, 6; DUI, 1; and alarm calls, 1.

Byhalia police officers also made three arrests during the past week, according to Chief Looney.
