A group of citizens wants changes in the operation of the Marshall County Fairgrounds.
Mary Williams, appearing before the board of supervisors, said the fairgrounds should be be run by residents of Marshall County. And she said the group also wants more activities taking place at the fairgrounds that benefit the average resident as much as they do equine lovers.
Williams said fairgrounds board members living outside the county are benefiting from the use of the fairgrounds more than folks who live in the county.
She said the fairgrounds is geared toward “bulls and barrels.”
