Byhalia police go to 34 calls

The Byhalia Police Department responded to 34 calls during the past week.
Chief Gary Looney released the following report – miscellaneous, 11; thefts, 1; disturbances, 4; domestic, 1; animals, 2; motor vehicle accidents, 1; assists, 1; fires, 4; medical, 7; harassment, 1; and alarm calls, 1.
Byhalia officers also made four arrests last week.


There was an error in an article submitted to The South Reporter and printed April 13 with the headline, Delta Tau Sigma Scholar­ship Banquet.
George Zinn was presented the Social Action Award and a list of his many services was included in the article. However, he said he is not responsible for Meals on Wheels but for activity and meal sites for the county.
Zinn is a Marshall County supervisor for District 4.
