An automatic sprinkler system is installed on the courthouse lawn. The system is used to water the lawn in the nighttime hours and can be set with a timer.

Byhalia police officers respond to variety of calls

The Byhalia Police Department responded to 29 calls during the past week.
Chief Gary Looney released the following report – miscellaneous, 10; escorts, 1; juveniles, 2; thefts, 2; disturbances, 2; animals, 2; damaged property, 2; medical, 5; trespassing, 1; and alarm calls, 2.
Byhalia police officers also made seven arrests last week, according to Chief Looney.
