Linda Frances Jones, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in her home in Laws Hill, Miss. Linda was born on August 12, 1953, in Memphis, Tenn., to Bill and Thelma Duke. She married the love of her life, Doyle Clifford “Butch” Jones, on April 24, 1970. The couple began their life together in Memphis before settling in their forever home in Laws Hill.
The Bluejays Jr. Gardeners had a fun-filled meeting in December. Margie Thompson taught everyone how to create an easy door hanger for the holidays. Each student was provided a kit containing a foam board candy cane, a red and white sock, a small ball ornament, a piece of burlap, a wire and a pretty Christmas pick. First they placed the sock on the styrofoam cane, then added the other items as instructed. Everyone did a great job and each hangar was unique.
Happy birthday wishes to Konlee Jane Autry. She turned four years old over the weekend. She celebrated with family and friends and enjoyed a beautiful cake prepared by Mandy Hurdle. Becky Cupp hosted a gathering in her home Friday night. Guests celebrated Kay Wheeler’s birthday and the retirement of Charlie Farris. Everyone had a fabulous time, including those honored.
