Marshall falls to Magnolia Heights

The Marshall Academy soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to Magnolia Heights on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
The Lady Patriots, who missed a few scoring opportunities of their own, were down 6-0 at the half.
In the second half, Marshall (0-3) held the Lady Chiefs to just one goal and again missed some chances to get on the scoreboard.

Hunter ed class Saturday

An all-day hunter education class is being offered at the Marshall County Extension Service, Saturday, Aug. 19, 8 a.m. until. Bring a lunch.

The hunter education course includes 10 hours of instruction, including live shooting. To obtain hunter education certification, students must be at least 10 years of age and must attend all classroom hours and pass a written exam.
All persons born after January 1, 1972, are required to complete a hunter education course before purchasing a Mississippi hunting license.
