Dear Editor,
I am writing to thank Marshall County residents for spreading joy to children around the world this Christmas. Through the generosity of the Marshall County community, the Northwest Mississippi Area Team was able to collect 22,900 shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind.
I’m convinced God puts people in my path when I need them most.
The phone call from the IRS was the very last straw. I just totally blew a gasket, the top of my head came off, and steam blew out my ears.

The final hearings for the failed Kemper power plant got underway last week at the Mississippi Public Service Commission (PSC).
