County offices to close July 3-4

The Marshall County Board of Supervisors has adopted the State of Mississippi’s Fourth of July holiday schedule.
The county offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, July 3 and July 4, to observe Independence Day.
Some county offices may elect to be open Monday, July 3, at their own discretion.

Early deadlines set for July 6 edition of newspaper

The South Reporter announces early deadlines for its July 6 edition due to the Independence Day holiday.
Deadline for all classified advertising is Friday, June 30, at 12 noon. Deadline for all other advertising, including legal notices, is Friday, June 30, at 5 p.m. Deadline to submit news items is also Friday, June 30, at 5 p.m.
The South Reporter office will be closed Tuesday, July 4, for the holiday, which celebrates the Declaration of Independence, adopted on July 4, 1776. The office will reopen with normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Wednesday, July 5.
