Yarbrough wins three gold medals

Jamiya Yarbrough from Holly Springs Intermediate School won three gold medals in the Special Olympics Saturday, May 13, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. Jamiya, pictured with her teacher Caryn Swanson, claimed gold medals in both the 100-meter run and mini javelin throw (female 8-12 age bracket). She also won a gold medal in the four-person mixed relay. The other members of the first-place team from Marshall County are Matthew Bell, Joseph Odem and Brandon Townsend.
