World Series preview
Two of the most storied franchises in sports history will be netting up in this year’s World Series. The New York Yankees who first won a championship way back in 1923 will face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers who’s first championship came in 1955. Combined the two ball clubs have 35 combined world championships along with 66 combined World Series appearances. Names like Ruth, Gehrig, Robinson, Koufax, Jackson, Jeter, and Kershaw makes this rivalry not one of the greatest in baseball but in sports history.
Hearing Yankees and Dodgers is so American, the Bald Eagle and Apple Pie are equals to their significance.
This year’s World Series promises to bring more viewers than ever, as it’s expected to be the most watched World Series ever. Yankees pinstripes vs. Dodgers Pantone 294.
The Bronx Bombers vs. the Dem Bums’ descendants. The granite-and-limestone of new Yankee Stadium on chilly autumn nights vs. Dodger Stadium in sunny Chavez Ravine, with the San Gabriel Mountains beyond the pavilions.
The Yankees lead the alltime series when the two franchises met in the World Series leading 8-3 . This series promises to display fireworks . Many of the top 5 players make up the two rosters competing for the championship. As you can guess both franchises are 2 and 3 in pay roll and it’s easier to build a roster in Major League Baseball due to no salary cap. Though I’m a lifelong Yankees fan Derek Jeter being my favorite player of all time , the Dodgers are just to good for NY’s average reliever bullpen.
Closing games will be a problem for the Yankees that’s why I’m picking the Dodgers to win a close hard fought series to win their 8th title.
