Wildcats defeat Hawks

Holly Springs Hawks won their first game of the season after defeating Hatley High School the previous week. They hosted the Independence Wildcats, looking for their second straight win.

The Hawks and Wildcats rivalry goes back decades, and both teams looked to add another historic game to the series.

But the Wildcats dominated from start to finish shutting out the Hawks for a 54-0 victory.

The Hawks look to regroup after the loss on their bye week, coming back on October 14 to play Tunica County Rosa Fort Lions.
