Both Marshall Academy basketball teams will be the top seeds in this week’s District 1-AA Tournament.
The Lady Patriots ended the regular season last week with wins over Winona Christian and Oak Hill to finish 8-0 versus district teams.
“Going undefeated in the district during the regular season puts us in a good spot come tournament time,” said Traci Rodgers, in her first season as the head coach of the MA girls.
“We’ve had a different player step up for us just about every conference game, so I’m excited to see who takes over when there’s a trophy on the line.
“It’s the time of the year we’ve been preparing for and looking forward to all year long.”
