State tourney • Lady Indians eliminated

The Byhalia Lady Indians saw their season come to an end Monday in the semi-finals of the Class 4A State Basketball Tournament.
The Lady Indians lost a nail-biter, 45-43, to Ripley, a fellow District 2-4A foe.
They trailed the Lady Tigers by six (24-18) at halftime and battled back to take a four-point lead (38-34) early in fourth quarter. But Byhalia couldn’t hang on. The game was tied at 38 when point guard Kavacia Johnson fouled out.
Ariel Tunstall led the Lady Indians (22-8) with 14 points. Johnson added 11. Tiyanna Powell and Shaquira Caradine had eight each.
