Nikiya Burgess (left) of Holly Springs High School is a back-to-back state powerlifting champion in her weight class with a total of 875 pounds lifted (squat, bench press, deadlift). Leela Hubbard (right) placed third in the state in her weight class. The two Holly Springs High School Lady Hawks competed in the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A State Powerlifting Meet, March 31, at Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. Both are juniors.
