Snows’ talents needed for MSA Sophomore Bowl

Marshall Academy’s wide receiver Devin Snow was drafted to play in the Magnolia Sports Association Sophomore Bowl game on Dec. 31 at East Central Community College. He played wide receiver for the Blue Squad and won against the Red Squad with a final score of 23-0.

Kiery Stribling, the owner of Major Drip Athletics, created the Magnolia Bowl Weekend. The Senior Bowl game was founded to allow public and private school students to play an all-star game together.

Ben Durham, Marshall Academy’s athletic director and head football coach, was named head coach of the Blue Squad. Clifford Brown, Holly Springs High School coach, was the offensive coordinator, and Rasheed DeBerry of Charleston High School was the defensive coordinator. Other coaches were Wesley Harris of Marshall Academy, Erick Lofton of Madison- Ridgeland Academy, and Tim Melton of Strayhorn High School.
