Smith, Tipler to play for Mississippi

Marshall and Benton counties will be represented this week when the Mississippi high school all-stars host Alabama.
DaQuan Smith of Holly Springs and DeAnthony Tipler of Ashland will play for their home state in the Mississippi Association of Coaches Mississippi/Alabama Boys All-Star Basketball Game.
Kavaci-A (Shay) Johnson of Byhalia was also selected for the girls team but will not be able to play due to an injury.
The games are Friday, March 16, at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi College in Clinton. The girls game will tip off at 5 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m.
