A former high school teammate and good friend called and Kendrick Smith answered.
Smith has left his job as head football coach at Byhalia High School for an offensive coordinator job at Rosa Fort. His first day on the job in Tunica was Monday of this week.
Kwame Jackson is the new coach at Rosa Fort, and he and Smith played football together at Cleveland High School.
“It’s just a better situation for me,” Smith said. “He gave me a call, and everything just made sense from a family standpoint and all. I’m looking forward to it; it’s where I want to be.”
