Slow start dooms Byhalia versus Bulldogs

It was a disastrous start for the Byhalia Indians Friday night at New Albany.

“Turnovers killed us,” coach John Danley said. “We started off slowly and had to fight uphill. That formula is not working.”

The Bulldogs stormed to a 28-7 lead after the first quarter and went on to beat the Indians 42-14 in the Region 1-4A contest.

New Albany went to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the district. Byhalia dropped to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the district.
