Senior Night Friday, if weather permits

The Holly Springs Lady Hawks and Hawks are scheduled to close the regular season Friday night, Feb. 6, at home, if weather allows, by hosting District 2-3A opponent Coahoma County for Senior Night.

The games were rescheduled from the previous Friday night due to winter weather conditions. The regular season games against non-district foe Lake Cormorant have been cancelled.

Sylvester Kilgore, head coach of the boys, said it will be “Blackout Night” at Holly Springs High School Friday with the Hawks and Lady Hawks wearing black uniforms and Coahoma wearing white.

Both he and Morgan Vickery, head coach of the girls, encourage the community to come out and support the teams on Senior Night. The Lady Hawks enter with a 19-4 overall record and the boys 1311.

Going into the final district game of the season, the girls are the top seed in the district and the boys the second seed. The district tournament will be played next week at Independence High School.
