RC kicksoff basketball summer camp
Rust College President Dr. Ivy R. Taylor announced the College’s second Summer Basketball Enthusiast Camp starting July 11, in the McMillan Multi- Purpose Building.
Elementary, middle, and high school students are invited to experience a five-day camp dedicated to teaching boys and girls, grades K-12, the basketball skills and drills necessary to succeed.
Jarvis Stephen, athletic director and Rust alumni, said this year’s camp will provide excellent instruction and the opportunity for all campers to improve in fundamental basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork, defense and offense.
“Campers can expect to have fun and learn to become the best player that he or she can possibly be,” said Stephens.
The camp will begin at 9 a.m. daily. Snacks and lunch will be served. On the final day of camp, trophies will be awarded in various categories.
Camp dates are as follows:
● Grades K-5, July 11-15
● Grades 6-8, July 18-22
● Grades 9-12, July 25-29
