Pritchett leads Saints to tourney win

The Limestone College golf team needed a spark in a tournament at Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Zack Pritchett provided it.

The 2013 graduate of Marshall Academy carded a 69      (-3) in the final round of the Division-II Preview event and the nationally-ranked Saints surged with a combined 289 (+1) to win its third tournament of the year.

Limestone rallied from an eight-shot deficit to overtake Newberry, the number three team in D-II. Limestone wrapped up the tournament with an overall score of 882 (+18). Newberry finished four strokes back with a combined 886 (+22).

Pritchett’s 69 in the final round was the lowest score of the tournament. He leads the nation in Par 3 scoring for D-II.
