Potts Camp going up to 2A; Byhalia down to 3A

Athletic realignment for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons translates into some changes for schools in Marshall County, both public and private.

Atop the list, released recently by the Mississippi High School Activities Asso­ciation, are a move up for Potts Camp from 1A to 2A and a move down for Byhalia from 4A to 3A.

Potts Camp comes in as the smallest 2A school in the state. In its football district (Region 1-2A) will be East Union, Mantachie, Strayhorn and Walnut. The basketball district will include all those schools plus New Site.
