Potts Camp claims first in three events at North meet

Potts Camp athletes placed in the top four in seven different events at the Class 2A North State Track and Field Meet it hosted Friday.

Those Lady Cardinals and Cardinals will next make the trip south to Pearl for the state meet this weekend.

The Potts Camp girls claimed first in the north in three categories – 100-meter dash, 4x100 meter relay and long jump.

• 100-meter dash – first place, Malasha Faulkner, 13.88; second, Dalayni Odom, 13.96.

• 200-meter dash – third, Meeya Gordon, 28.83.

• 300-meter hurdles – fourth, Malasha Faulkner, 54.35.

• 4x100 meter relay – first, Dalayni Odom, Alexis Carter, Meeya Gordon, Malasha Faulkner, 54.02.

• 4x200 meter relay – second, Dalaynie Odom, Alexis Carter, Meeya Gordon, Malasha Faulkner, 1:57.95.

• Long jump – first, Alexis Carter, 16-04. Potts Camp boys

• 400-meter dash – fourth, Britten Traylor, 54.92.
