Potts Camp boys first in district

The Potts Camp boys dominated the Division 2-1A Track Meet Thursday.

The Cardinals, who hosted the event, were 137 points ahead of their next closest competitor. They finished with 203 points. Ashland was second with 66, Hickory Flat third with 38, Myrtle fourth with 31 and H.W. Byers fifth with 10.

The Potts Camp girls finished third with 52 points. The district championship went to Myrtle with 138, while Hickory Flat was second with 102. Ashland placed fourth with 45 and H.W. Byers fifth with 16.

Those who finished in the top four in their events advance to the Regional Meet this Friday at Potts Camp.
