PC Cards beat North Panola Cougars 19-0

The Potts Camp High School Cardinals played three games last week. The first was a district game at Calhoun City High School, Tuesday, April 11. The Cards lost the district game 6-1.

Thursday night, April 13, the Cards hosted the North Panola Cougars. The Cards shutout the Cougars in three innings 19-0.

Cardinals’ pitcher Austin Culver pitched three innings striking out five and walking two. Braxton Clifton, Cade Palmer, Drew Hogan, and Markakivious Faulkner each made three RBIs; Austin Culver, John Thomas Wilson, and Brayden Clifton each made two RBIs, while Jamie Muse had one.

The Cards took on the Calhoun City Wildcats in district action Friday night winning 10-4.

Drew Hogan owned the mound for the Cards, pitching seven innings. He had seven hits, four runs, and nine strikeouts. Muse was the lead scorer, with three hits. Peyton Aldridge and Ian Clifton each scored two hits, Braxton Clifton, Faulkner and Brayden Clifton each had one hit.

Biggersville High School visited the Cardinals Monday night, April 18, and took home the win 11-1. Culver pitched the first two innings and top of the third inning. He allowed three hits, six runs and five walks. Culver sent the Lions back to the dugout. Ian Clifton pitched one inning. He had seven hits, five runs, two walks and two strikeouts for the Cards.

Potts Camp will host the Bruce High School Trojans Thursday, April 20, at 7 p.m.
