Patriots take over game in second half

The Marshall Academy Patriots basketball team took on Clarksdale's Lee Academy Colts on their homecourt Friday, January 6.
The Patriots and Colts were neck and neck in the first half ending with the Colts barely taking the lead 12-11 and keeping the same distance when the buzzer went off at halftime, 23-21.
Patriots Adam Olds netted two three-pointers in the third quarter, and Omariun Tipler added one in the third quarter. Patriot Gavin Coleman took two deuces to the rim. Marshall's Eli Gurley and Hayes Henry scored two each.
The Patriots strong defense held the Colts to only six points in the third quarter
The Colts tried returning in the fourth but could not chase the Patriot's score.
Marshall Academy won the game with a final score of 54-46.
