Patriots packing for Montgomery
It’s the earliest start to a football season ever for the Marshall Academy Patriots. And it will come this weekend 280 miles from home.
MA meets Brookwood (Ga.) Saturday, Aug. 12, at 5 p.m. in the Southeastern Commission of Independent Schools Classic (SECIS) at Montgomery, Ala.
“You typically make the most improvement from week one to week two, and for us this year that comes a little earlier than anyone else,” said Barrett Donahoe, head coach of the Patriots.
The SECIS includes teams from four states – Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina. The match-ups will be played in the historic Cramton Bowl, which opened in 1922
