Marshall Academy Lady Patriots are North4A Champions after defeating Winona Christian Academy, 11-1. The Patriots advanced to the Overall Tournament at the Magee Sports Complex. On Monday, Oct. 7, they defeated Winona Christian, 14-1; Central Hinds, 15-3; and TriCounty, 12-0. The Lady Patriots advance to the best 2-out-of-3 series with Amite School Center for the MAIS 2024 4A Fast Pitch Championship. Game one will be Wednesday at Amite, 6 p.m.; game two will be Thursday at Marshall Academy, 6 p.m.; and if necessary game three will be Saturday at Amite, 2 p.m. Shown at left is Landy Loper sliding safety into second base against Winona; at right is Kyleigh Milliorn pitching from the mound on Monday.
