Mistakes cost Lions in loss

H.W. Byers was plagued by penalties Friday night.
The Lions had four touchdowns called back in a 38-26 loss to Myrtle at the New Albany Sportsplex.
“High school, college, NFL – if you have four touchdowns called back and expect to win the game, it’s not going to happen,” said head coach Chris Daniels. “You go from the joy of a touchdown to seeing a flag on the field.”
Byers also had three turnovers in the loss.
