Marshall hosting district tourney

Marshall Academy will host the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools District 1-3A Basketball Tournament Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 29-31.

Both the Patriots and Lady Patriots are seeded third in their respective brackets.

The schedule for Thursday includes – 4 p.m., girls, West Memphis versus Rossville; 5:15 p.m., boys, Kirk versus Lee; 6:30 p.m., girls, Marshall versus Lee; and 7:45 p.m., boys, Marshall vs. North Delta.

Friday’s games include – 4 p.m., girls, Kirk versus West Memphis-Rossville winner; 5:15 p.m., boys, West Memphis versus Kirk-Lee winner; 6:30 p.m., girls, North Delta versus Marshall-Lee winner; and 7:45 p.m., Rossville versus Marshall-North Delta winner.

District tournament games start at 1 p.m. On Saturday with the girls consolation contest for third- and fourth-place, followed at 2:15 by the boys consolation match-up. The girls championship game tips off at 3:30 p.m. And the boys title contest at 4:45 p.m.

The top four teams (girls and boys) advance to the Class 3A North Regional Tournament February 2-7 at Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
