Marshall Academy beats Bears 11-1

It was a different outcome this time around when Marshall Academy faced Alcorn Central on the diamond.

MA avenged an 8-6 loss on March 4 in Alcorn County by beating the Golden Bears 11-1 at Patriot Field on Monday of last week.

With Marshall leading 5-1, second baseman Jacob Gadd closed out the top of the fifth inning with a double play.

Then in the bottom of the fifth, the Pats plated six runs to end the game early by the 10-run rule. Wil Summerlin had the big hit in the inning, a triple that scored two runs.
