MA teams knock off district opponents

Marshall Academy basketball teams stayed perfect in District 1-AA play last week.
The Lady Patriots and Patriots beat Central Holmes at home and away and Carroll Academy at home to go to 6-0 in the district with post-season play just around the corner.
Three MA players scored in double figures Tuesday, Jan. 23, as the Lady Patriots beat Central Holmes 49-34 in Holly Springs.
Julia Nicholson led the way with 16 points, followed by Alexis McGreger with 15 and Kaylan Parks with 12.
