MA Patriots handle Colts

Marshall Academy went into Friday's game looking to win back-to-back games for the second time this season. To do it, they'd have to get past Lee Academy from Clarksdale. The Coach Durham squad dominated the Colts from start to finish, handing the Colts a 41-6 loss in front of the Marshall Faithful. That stuff Patriots defense forced six turnovers total in Friday's dominating performance. Wideout and defensive back Devin Snow brought in two interceptions on the night.

The Patriot offense racked up 350 all-purpose yards on the night. Coach Durham's thoughts after the game. "I didn't feel great coming into the game. We just didn't have a great week of practice. We started slow, but we did eventually get it going," he said.

"We had a slow start; however, we got it going. I thought we were pretty balanced," Durham said.

Durham on the defensive shutdown commented, "We are just so dominant in the front seven. People just have a tough time running the ball. We are so physical that it's hard to play with us for four quarters."

The good news for Marshall is that they only have one road game left, and that's the upcoming Friday night showdown at Carroll Academy.
