MA offense struggles in loss to Lee Colts; home game Friday

The mosquitos were prevalent Friday night in the Delta but it was the mistake-bug that bit Marshall Academy the most.

The Patriots had five turnovers, including two on their first two possessions of the game, and went on to fall 22-7 in Clarksdale to Lee Academy. MA also failed to convert on a pair of fourth-and-two tries and gave up a safety.

“It was as bad of an offensive game as I’ve ever been a part of,” head coach Barrett Donahoe said. “We simply didn’t play well offensively. We have to self-evaluate and move forward.”

At the same time, he said he liked his team’s intensity in the second half and believed the Patriots “took some strides in certain areas.”
