Local basketball players receive All-District recognition

Several Potts Camp and Hickory Flat basketball players recently received all-district recognition.

Local girls honored in Region 3-1A include Offensive Most Valuable Player Ladextini Tipler, a sophomore from Hickory Flat. On the All-District Team are senior Chasity Davis and sophomore Ella Hoyle, both of Hickory Flat, and sophomore Akira Woods of Potts Camp.

Local boys honored on the All-District Team include sophomores Jeremiah Nelson and Braxton Totten of Potts Camp and junior Kesean Walker of Hickory Flat.

Most Valuable Player in Region 3-1A for the girls is junior Beiga Foote of Blue Mountain. Defensive MVP is junior Precious Hall of Blue Mountain. Other members of the All-District Team are Dynasty Prather, a junior from Blue Mountain; Sherri Upshaw, a freshman from Coffeeville; and Braylen Rhodes, a junior from Strayhorn.

Region 3-1A Girls Coach of the Year is Regina Chills of Blue Mountain.

Most Valuable Player in Region 3-1A for the boys is Stanford Spearman Jr., a junior from Coffeeville. Offensive MVP is junior Tacorion Reed of Coffeeville, and Defensive MVP is Elton Moore, a senior from Strayhorn. Other members of the AllDistrict Team are Juelz Cooper and Justin Coffey, both sophomores from Coffeeville; Lorenzen Mitchell, a sophomore from Srayhorn; and Jordan Hall, a junior of Blue Mountain.

Region 3-1A Boys Coach of the Year is Demarius Bush of Coffeeville.
