Lions start season with win over ’Cats

The H.W. Byers Lions gave their new head coach a win in his first game at the helm.
They knocked off Independence 58-45 Saturday in the Olive Branch Classic.
“It’s a great feeling to win that first one,” coach Holt Rushing said.
