Lions picking up where they left off

Although the H.W. Byers High School Lions didn’t bring back Michael James from a season ago, the Lions have opened the season red hot, winning six of their last games.

The most recent victim for the Lions was the Nettleton High School Tigers, defeating them by 29 points 65-36.

The Lions are 6-1 on the season so far and are eager for more action once the holiday break ends.

“We are excited that our guys are working hard and are trying to keep up the success that we have had in the past years,” H.W. Byers coach Fred Stafford said.

The Lions will travel to Middleton, Tenn., to take on the Middleton High School Tigers Friday, Dec. 1. Games begin at 5 p.m.
