Lady Patriots fall to Aberdeen in OT

The Marshall Academy Lady Patriots were put in the David versus Goliath position at the South Pontotoc Lady Cougar Christmas Clas­sic.

The Class AA private school from Holly Springs was pitted against a pair of larger public schools, Class 6A Columbus and Class 3A Aberdeen.

On day one of the Christmas Classic, Dec. 18, the Lady Pats lost 51-14 to the Lady Falcons from Lowndes County.

Marshall was held scoreless in the first quarter, falling behind 16-0. They trailed 29-6 at the half and 40-10 after three quarters.

Julia Nicholson had eight points for MA.
