Lady Indian signs with Southwest

A Byhalia High School soccer player is taking her talents to the next level. Liliana Vazquez has committed to Southwest Mississippi Community College. Pictured during the recent signing ceremony at the high school are, from left, athletic director Reginald Davis, Vazquez, assistant soccer coach Catherine McCulley and head soccer coach Ron Smalley. Vazquez is having a stellar senior season for the Lady Indians with 26 goals scored. The Lady Indians are 6-4 overall, 4-2 in Region 3-4A and advancing to the state playoffs. Vazquez has been playing soccer for 11 years. She also plays on a club soccer team, the DeSoto Lady Lobos Rush.
