Holly Springs’ Hawk Jaylen Sims carries the ball to the rim for two points in Tuesday night action against rival H.W. Byers. The Lions took the game in a final score of 71-46.

Lady Hawks win against Byers 47-33

H.W. Byers Lady Lions met up with rival Holly Springs Lady Hawks Tuesday, Dec. 13, on their home court. Both teams came to take the win but only one could be on top.

The Lady Hawks never gave the Lions a break, out scoring the Lions in every quarter. Then talented Hawks controlled the court and took the game to a final score of 47-33.

Aryuanna Ingram was the highest scorer for the Lady Hawks with 20 points; Chamilya Watson hit the basket bringing in 15 points. Janya Bohanna scored six; Shakinah Clark shot four points, and Jakryra Hankins scored two points.

The top scorer for the Lady Lions was Andrea Carter with 17 points. Keliyah Faulkner, Jaylynn Rubben, and Keliyse Faulkner each scored four points. Lauren Weathersly and Anaiyah Hale brought two points each to the scoreboard.
