Ashland fought with plenty of heart Thursday in the State Tournament before the Leake County girls moved on to the semi-finals.
The Lady Blue Devils lost the Class 1A clash 64-60 to the Lady Gators at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
The first frame was knotted several times. After the game’s sixth consecutive tie at 13, Alisha Jeanes sank a deuce to cut the tie. Ashland was up 15-13.
