Lady Cards win the first-ever Marshall-Benton County Volleyball tournament

The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals volleyball coach, Julianna Garner, was excited to host the first-ever Marshall- Benton County Volleyball Tournament at Potts Camp High School Saturday, Aug. 18.

“This is our first-ever volleyball county tournament,” Garner said. “We have five teams participating for the inaugural year: Potts Camp, Byhalia, H.W. Byers, Holly Springs and Ashland.”

Ashland High School lost to H.W. Byers in the first bracket, and Holly Springs High School lost to Byhalia.

Potts Camp went up against the H.W. Byers, winning both sets. The first set score was 25- 2; in the second set, the final score was 25-14. That put the Lady Cardinals in the final bracket with Byhalia High School Indians.
