Lady Cards fall to Urchins

Potts Camp ran into a buzz saw in round two of the Class 2A State Softball Tournament.

The young Lady Cardinals dropped 13-0 and 18-0 decisions to a seasoned East Union squad.

Potts Camp finished its season at 9-9 and 4-2 in the district. There are no seniors or juniors on the team and just four sophomores. The rest are seventh and eighth graders.

Coach Dee Blakeney, in her first season at the school, said she is “very proud” of her Lady Cards for their progress through­out the season.
